A Viola in Focus

Schumann · Brahms · Hudec

Obal albumu A viola infocus

On his debut album A Viola in Focus, Vojtech Bélu Botoš brings the viola into focus as an instrument of deep, warm, and richly expressive sound. The Romantic world of Robert Schumann and Johannes Brahms meets the contemporary Slovak music of Adam Hudec, whose piece For Bélu was written especially for the performer. The result is a personal recording that connects the tradition of viola literature with a new compositional voice. The album was recorded in collaboration with pianist Vladyslav Panchenko and released by HLAVA XXII.
